Failed Muso

Those of you that link directly here may not have seen that the all new Failed Muso dot com went properly live today!

As part of the transition process that started a couple of months back, I promised (myself, more than anyone else) to get a decent website up and running. Something from which to hang the blog off. Well, after searching for suitable methods and tools, I eventually decided to use the Joomla CMS (Content Management System) as the platform from which to build the site. It’s free, open source and above all not too taxing for this virgin of the world of HTML, XHTML, CSS and so on.

So, pop over to www.failedmuso.com and check out the 0.1 alpha version of the site. Some links don’t work, most do and there’s not an incredible amount of content…. YET!

Don’t worry, the location of the blog will remain the same. I intend to spruce that up too It’s also worth mentioning that I checked out my stats this morning and was blown away by the continued popularity of the blog. In the month os so since switching locations, the blog has received around 3500 visits with 5000+ page views. And it appears that most of you are perusing around the place and not just visiting one page, which I think is one of the best figures The UK & US are still the places that most visitors come from, but it’s the others that fascinate me. Virtually every country in Europe & South America are represented, as well as the Indian sub-continent and South East Asia. Africa delivers a lot of visitors too. It fair brings a lump to my throat knowing that all these people around the globe have even the remotest interest in what I do here. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

Oh, you may also notice that I have placed Google Ads on the blog as well as the home page of the site. I’m not a fan of ads myself, but find the Google variety pretty unobtrusive and always relevant to the content of the site.
