Taking the oldschool history of sampling back to school

The Fairlight was the worlds first keyboard sampling instrument and it was premiered in the early 1980s. By using Propellerhead™ software like Reason (versions 4 or 5), Record (versions 1.0 or 1.5) it is now possible to build new and highly cost effective Fairlight workstations around a simple laptop and a USB keyboard (shown below: Akai LPK-25). This refill contains the entire Fairlight IIX factory library, used with kind permission from Fairlight Instruments in Australia.

Using Reason 5 it practically (almost) becomes a real Fairlight

Reason 5 has user sampling on all sample playback instruments in the rack, like the NNXT, the NN19 and ReDrum. Being a highly creative feature alone, also having the entire Fairlight library gives each user practically the same set of tools as sampling pioneers like Yello and Art Of Noise.

Sampled instruments include: Fairlight CMI IIx, Yamaha DX100, Yamaha DX11, Yamaha DX7, Yamaha DX7II, Yamaha TX-816, Casio VZ-1, Roland JX-8P, Roland JX-10, Roland TR-707, Roland TR-808, Roland TR-909, Roland D-50, Roland V-Synth, Linn LinnDrum, Sequential Tom, Korg DDD-1. Over 2000 individual patches including over 720 Mb of raw sample data. Over 30 included ‘listen, watch and learn’ complete song productions.
