Björk’s MIDI-fied Gameleste, controlled by iPad

I love this woman. Deeply and passionately. I love her complete disregard for societal & musical structures and rules. She is a true free spirit and yes, I think she’s dead cute too!

I’m really looking forward to her new album, Biophilia, and was gutted that I don’t think I’ll be able to make the Biophilia experience in Manchester at the end of this month and beginning of July. The album will consist of a conventional release as well as each track being available as an app for the iPad, something that, as a newly won over iPad user, I am very excited about indeed.

Anyway, she just posted this little video up with the following message…

“we gutted my old celeste and replaced the notes with custom made bronze notes and made it midi-compatible so it could be played remotely by an ipad”
