UVI Vintage Legends “Try Before You Buy”

In what is an unprecedented, yet completely welcome, move by our friends across the English Channel, UVI have released their first ever “Try Before You Buy” version of one of their major product lines. And it’s their latest and greatest one too, Vintage Legends.

This 233MB download contains a .ufs file that you can use in either the free UVI Workstation or MOTU’s MachFive 3 and you won’t need an iLok key for it either! Simply download, pop it into wherever you keep your .ufs files, make sure the instrument is pointing to that folder and away you go!

Now, it IS a demo, and it’s quite a restricted demo with just one preset included for each instrument, BUT, all the UI’s are present for you to ogle at and get a feel for. This won’t be something you can make a complete song from, although it would be cool if you did!! But, it does give you an impression of what it is capable of and UVI must be heartily applauded for listening to the many calls from around the internet for a useable demo. Hopefully, this will be the start of a trend that might see similar “Try Before You Buy” versions being made available for all their major products, including Emulation One, Emulation II, Darklight IIx, The Beast, String Machines, Electro Suite and more.
