A new home!

Wow,

That all happened VERY fast!! ;o)

So, how do you like the new place? I’m still settling in, but I have a feeling I’ll be very happy here!

It became clear to me that I had spread myself very thinly across this thing we call t’intetwebs, with Twitter accounts here, MySpace there, Facebook, Soundclick, YouTube and everything else all over the place, so I decided some while back that everything needed to come under one roof. My hand was forced when the provider of some webspace I had been piggy-backing on told me he was going to have to remove my access for various reasons. So needing somewhere to host my files I was faced with having to sort out my own space and it was immediately apparent that this was the time to strike out on my own and get a proper Failed Muso website and do the housekeeping I so desperately needed.

And here we are! I now own the failedmuso.com domain, the blog has been imported in its entirety from the old Blogger account (which still remains active for the purposes of redirection but ceased to be updated from 01/10/09) and there are plans to expand the main site into something special, I hope. I haven’t settled on anything yet and would welcome any suggestions you might have for the things we could do here. A shop is an almost definite idea, where you can buy sample packs and musical tracks. Maybe a forum of some sort. Definitely a showcase for my material and maybe others too.

It’s all VERY exciting! ;o)

And WordPress is a fantastic blogging tool that I am falling in love with rapidly! Highly recommended.

Oh, and I’m still getting to grips with WordPress themes so forgive the rather plain one I am using, although I find it very simple and clean. If anyone is a whizz with WP themes, do let me know! ;o)
