Bitley™ Sounds and Refills Announce New Library – “Omnia”

Announced today from Sweden, a new library and concept from bitley™ sounds and refills, the one man team that brought the world the stunning Fairlight Platinum ReFill and Kontakt library.

Omnia is the latest incarnation of Bitley’s Fairlight-based sound banks, as developed from 2010 to present date. The first release in the Omnia series is Omnia Samples. This contains all of the wave files (samples), comprising 2,3 Gigabyte of data and nearly 6,000 individual samples. Omnia Samples is released in two versions: One raw wave version, which fits all samplers and sample players that can import AIFF and / or WAV files. This covers nearly all sampler instruments since many years back. The other version is made for Reason 7. Subsequent Omnia series releases for Reason will include things from Bitley’s previous Fairlight II+, XXL and Platinum refills alongside with completely new patches as well as fixes and updates, new naming conventions and more focused categories. Fairlight Platinum will remain as the largest Bitley refill with its 3,600 instrument patches. There is also a Fairlight-based Kontakt library available which recently was updated (July 2013).

Bitley is a swedish maker of sound banks, programming hardware synthesizers as well as making software releases. The company started out in 2010 by releasing the sound banks Orlando JX10 and Fairlight CMI Legacy. Newer refills include The Prophet, O8, Flux, Poly Ensemble and more.

Preliminary info

Bitley Omnia is now being developed as a follow-up to Fairlight Platinum, which will co-exist with Omnia for a long time. Omnia is being designed in a completely different way, thus making it more flexible (and very cost effective) for your own specific needs.

Omnia is not a refill

Here’s where things start to become different. With Omnia, you only order all the bits and pieces that you really feel you are going to need and use. All the Omnia refills will depend on the samples refill.

Introducing Omnia Samples

Omnia Samples basically contains all our samples. It’s not replacing any of our other refills but it is much better than them if you like to program sounds of your own. What you are getting is a library of neatly sorted samples. About 6,000 of those. You might absolutely love doing sampling of your own, but here you’re getting 5 years of daily, full time sampling work and it’s already done for you. Omnia Samples for Reason

Omnia samples is a 1,35 Gb refill packed with organized samples and nothing else. It contains exactly 2,26 Gb worth of samples – but as you know, that gets a smaller footprint when refill’ed.

Omnia Samples for Anything

Omnia samples in WAV/AIFF format is made to be used in any other ‘platform’ than Reason. This might be any sampler, including the free and most excellent UVI Workstation. Or Kontakt. Or EXS. Or anything else that reads wavefiles. Why not one of the last hardware samplers – like the ones from E-mu, Akai and even the Korg EXS 1 groove box. The content is exactly the same as in the Reason version, only that it’s not packed into a refill. It’s packed into a Zip file instead, and it’s 1,92 Gb’s in size – or 2,26 Gb when unzipped.
