Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear :o(

Well, after a spate of rather abusive comments on Thursday and Friday, a quiet weekend and a recommencement today (shame these people can’t afford internet connections at home !! Much as it is a shame that they cannot afford proper music making hard or software and rely on warez), I have taken the rather sad decision to moderate all comments made here.

I find it incredibly sad to have to do this. I would (sadly) expect it on a public forum, but I won’t accept it here.

This is just yet another example of the bad side of the internet. It gives people an anonymous voice and gives them the idea that they can bomb around the net, abusing and denigrating whatever they feel like, without being brave enough to show themselves and face the consequences. They feel almost unassailable and above any rules or law.

All they do is force the lockdown of public forums, designed for free speech, and spoil the enjoyment of the web for many others.

I know that most readers here are sensible adults and human beings, not the low life I have just described and have the intelligence to understand my forced censorship, which is an action I bitterly detest, but feel that I have no choice if I am to keep this place the way I want it.

I moderate on a number of forums and participate in many more and this sort of thing happens all too often, but given the nature of the public forum, many anonymous and gutless posters are given a place to speak, as usually they will get shot down in flames by the legitimate users.

This is MY blog, and I’m not going to let a group of ignorami and abusers do their stuff on here.

Please do keep commenting and sending the supportive emails, it is greatly appreciated, but if you are here to post a derogatory, hateful comment anonymously, your views will not find any purchase here.

P.S. If anyone from the Bank Of New York’s Management ever read this, I’d check what your employees in London are doing during the time you are paying them to work :o)
