New 3rd Party Sounds for Alesis Fusion

Regular readers will be aware of my involvement with Hollow Sun and our work with Alesis on their Fusion workstation…

Well, Klaus P Rausch is a very talented German chap whose talents also extend to sound design and Klaus was actually responsible for some of the original presets in the Fusion. Last month he released his first commercial library of 384 sounds for the Fusion.

Priced at a stupidly low €39, these are some stunning sounds.

Now Klaus is preparing to release a smaller package of 128 new sounds, this time really exploiting the Virtual Analog, FM and Physical Modelling engines of the Fusion, as well as having a few sample based offerings in there too. I am privileged to beta test for Klaus and have to say these are bloody awesome sounds !!!

So, if you haven’t tried a Fusion yet, go to your local music store, demand a demo, ensure it is running the latest OS (1.22) as many dealers are too slack to keep it updated with all the new features, check that it has at least the first 5 Hollow Sun banks and give it a whirl. At £799 for the semi weighted 61 Key version and £999 for the fully weighted 88 key version, you won’t get a better value workstation for your money. 40GB HD, sampling, VA, FM, & PM synth engines, 8 track, 24bit Digital Audio multitrack recording, over 1000 arp presets, free OS updates, free Program downloads, and a thriving user community, it kind of knocks the competition into a cocked hat :o)
