Peter Vogel demonstrates sampling on the Fairlight iOS app

This week, v1.1 of the iOS app was released and with it, it brought sampling. You can now sample all your own sounds in both Player & Pro versions of the app, but only the Pro version will allow you to save them. Don’t expect Akai/Emulator-esque sampling power here, but instead, revel in the sheer simplicity and fun that can be had by sampling your own found sounds and creating all sorts of noises with them.

I’ve been beta testing this for a while and have had great fun making new sounds from pretty much anything. It’s brought back the simplicity and unfettered joy of creating sounds from nothing.
