Phil Oakey’s MC-500 ??

With all sorts of hoaxes and scams going on on eBay, one has to take sales like this with a pinch of salt.

The seller claims; “This was owned by the Human League’s Phil Oakey & includes the original sequences of the Human League’s classics, Don’t You Want Me, Human & Electric Dreams.”

Well, I could state that my Korg Prophecy was used by Liam “flippin'” Howlett !!

His only proof other than the two Human Leauge songs and the Oakey/Moroder classic being already installed, is a picture of a floppy disk with the three song titles scribbled on. Given the time frames of the creation of these songs (Don’t You Want Me was released in 1981), it’s highly unlikely that this is Phil’s machine, seeing as the machine didn’t come out until 5 years after the seminal “Don’t You Want Me” !!

Now, if he had a little fabric label ironed on to it saying “Property of Philip Oakey”, I’d be more inclined to believe him !! LOL ;o)
