Just discovered this little gem. A half hour documentary on the history of the Sarm Studios, owned by Trevor Horn and located on Basing St. in London. I’ve only ever been able to stand outside…

…dreaming of what is contained behind those blue walls and what musical landmarks were recorded within. One day, it’d by nice to go inside, even work in there. Until then, let Paul Morley guide you around with the aid of Chris Blackwell, its original owner, and Trevor, who bought it off him.

N.B. Right at the very end, Trevor mentions Joe Boyd, the famous producer who produced a number of artists at the Sound Techniques studio in Chelsea, including the magnificent Nick Drake. Those observant ones amongst you should already be aware that I currently work for STL, the company that grew out of Sound Techniques 🙂
