DX5 End Cheek Replacement

Since acquiring my Yamaha DX5 in early November, I’ve been planning the few little jobs to bring it back into tip top condition. There honestly isn’t much to do. It is mostly cosmetic and the small matter of the aftertouch being barely functional.

So this morning, I decided to take care of the easiest part of the process which was to replace the original MDF end cheeks and replace them with some solid wood ones. Rather than have you read all about it, and to save me time typing this all out on New Year’s Eve, I’ve done what all the cool kids do these days and documented it on video (and some stills too).
